Denim on Denim for Summer
Oh, denim jackets, how we love thee. It is our go-to fabric; our fashion friend; our wardrobe staple; a classic. I love the slightly slouchy fit and worn-in feel of oversized jean jacket. The distressed details offers a fresh spin on an old summer classic, and it can be paired with anything making it a must have piece. It might be borrowed from the boys, but it looks better on us!

Look #1: denim on denim

This ain't your average double denim. I love the look of this embroidery skirt, peak of lace bralette, paired with the oversized denim jacket.

Happy Monday, babes! I love starting the week with something bring and colorful! This ruffled off-the-shoulder top is too cute to pass up, and comes with a matching neck scarf, so I don't have to think twice about accessories!

I found it on Spring, a site I have recently discovered and have fallen in love with! It is basically a concierge for thousands of amazing brands so we can buy from one site instead of having to go on a million different websites. Needless to say, I have discovered so many awesome brands that I would have never known about.  The best part is that they offer FREE shipping and returns (which is the only way I will shop online!)

Here are some other off-the-shoulder tops I love from Spring:

I was excited to see the brand Mango because I love their clothes especially their denim. I find them to be very great quality with an affordable price point. These Mango denim have a more exaggerated flare leg. The cropped style is perfect for warm days, and the front slit is a bit more interesting than the typical capri pant. It is currently on sale and runs true to size. Some of my favorite Mango denim:

I finished the look with Rag & Bone ankle-strap sandals, which have all the comfort of a flat style, but with a little extra lift thanks to a thick jute platform.

Have a great week!

Uber Split FareA couple weekends ago I attended my first wedding of the season! Well actually it was a wedding reception for two beautiful brides, Sirbrina and Latay, who got married in Texas and wanted to throw a reception to celebrate their love with their closest friends in Seattle.

I rode with a couple girlfriends in an Uber to Cedar Room, where their reception was held. I love how easy it was to use Uber split fare on the App! No more hard feelings over who paid the most for the ride because you know who all have the friend who conveniently "forgets" to pay you back. And no more fumbling with cash to properly split a ride. Convenience is the name of the game and Uber has it nailed!!

What is Uber Split Fare?

Uber split fare is basically a way to share your ride expenses or split the cost of a ride with friends or someone you’re Ubering with.

After I requested a ride, all I had to do was tap Payment to find a 'Split Fare' button, then added my friends from my contacts list. They got a text message with a link that opens the Uber app and then accepted the split —luckily we had the whole ride to get this done. Just make sure the split is done before ride is completed though because you can't go back once the ride is done.

Once our Uber arrived at our destination at Cedar Room, all of our cards were charged for the same amount (only came out to about $5 each person)! No fumbling with our wallets, no calculating tips, no waiting for the credit card to go through, no juggling a pen, no asking for a receipt. It’s a seamless transaction. I also love the ease and convenience of Uber that left us to enjoy the rest of the evening without worrying about parking or drinking and driving. We had so much fun celebrating the brides with drinks, dancing, and eating from their "taco truck" buffet bar!

I personally love Uber over cabs, driving my own car, or asking for rides from friends. I have used Uber for all kinds of commuting around the Seattle Metro area. Doctor and beauty appointments, shopping, and outings with friends and movie nights. You name it and Uber has pretty much taken me there. Uber can be quite addictive. I mean, with the ability to call up a driver in about 5-10 minutes with the swipe of a finger on your smartphone just about any time you want? That is just hard to beat!

To celebrate my friends, Sirbrina and Latay, I wanted to share with you some photos from their Wedding in Texas and Reception at Cedar Room in Seattle, WA.

Summer Wardrobe Essentials
Hooray! It’s finally here! Summer Solstice officially kicks off Summer in a week (June 20th)! Which means longer days and more fun in the sun -- and more time to show off our summer threads!

Happy to partner up with Nordstrom again to help me find the perfect going-out summer pieces to add to my wardrobe. I love summer fashion. The colors are brighter, the fabrics are softer and the overall look is just so much more fun! For me, summer is the season of rompers. The easy-to-wear summer staple comes in all shapes and forms, from girly ruffles to off-the-shoulder, to fun whimsical prints and colors. The ruffled tier romper I am wearing is so vibrant and flattering! It hides all the problem areas but shows off just the right amount of skin. If you're not a big fan of rompers, this print also comes in maxi dress or top.

Below are some of my favorite romper options that will get you through every rendezvous, cocktail hour, and rooftop parties that are light and playful and looking très chic:

Now on to other can't-do-without summer wardrobe essentials because getting Summer chic is as much about accessories and shoes as the outfit itself. My favorite easy add-ons are a good woven clutch, tassel earrings, and strappy block heel sandals.

The clutch I found is only $38! I've also rounded eleven of my favorite clutches that are versatile for day or night outings:

Accessorizing is key! Some of my favorite tassel earrings:

Last but not least, these block heel sandals will be the only shoes you'll need. I am sure you've seen these everywhere but for good reason. It is such a versatile pair of heeled sandals. It can be paired with rompers, dresses, shorts, or jeans. It is dressy without being too formal. It is true to size.

Here are other block-heel options I personally own and highly recommend:

It’s sunny. It’s rainy. Welcome to Washington springtime (well, almost summer).

I have packed away my duvet coats for something a little lighter, but with the bipolar weather it's hard to know what to wear in this tricky transitional season. I say versatily like a lightweight moto jacket is key! My favorite color for this season is blush. It's such a beautful neutral color that goes with almost everything.

I got this crop suede biker jacket for under $75 and I love the black zippers on it! If you're not a pink fan, it comes in cognac and blue as well.

I paired it with one my other spring/summer essential: this high-low blouse. The pretty peplum hem puts a feminine finish that will pair with just about everything in my closet.

Hope you guys had a great Memorial Weekend! With weather finally warming up, I have been adding more summer pieces to my wardrobe.

In my opinion, there is no better summer staple than the little white dress. It’s the best kind of classic – it can be dressed up or down, go from day to night, and can be worn about a million different ways. I recently got this white dress with bell sleeves for under $50. I love the flirty hemline and crochet details. Below are some of my other favorite LWD for around $50.

In this case, I dressed it down with espadrille platform sneaker but you can easily take dress it up with lace-up heels or pumps to go out at night! I love the espadrilles platform the color goes with everything and the bow is so feminine. It definitely runs small so go up a size and I would recommend getting pads for the heel.
