I love days like this when the sky is so blue that my pictures come out so vibrant. Not only does the photos shine but I feel as my soul is shining brightly too. I really do love the sun but I think I appreciate it more having been in Seattle for so long. On this beautiful day, I was wearing this playful little floral dress from Lulu's.
Every girl should have the perfect little black dress in her closet but what about a floral one? I love this one because it is black background with flowers that isn't too grandma-ish nor too childish. The fabric is a bit lightweight, so I paired it with a heavier wool blazer and knee high socks with my chunky platform for warmth. The mock neckline and floral print gives it a 70's vibe while the babydoll silhouette takes shape thanks to a relaxed waistline and full, flirty skirt. It's perfect for all occasion depending on how you accessorize it. I added a black wide-brim hat & fringe bag (on-sale for only $18) for the perfect boho touch!

What accessories would you have chosen to pair with the dress?

I am so excited to announce that.... I'm moving back to Japan next month!!  In honor of Japan and its traditional Japanese garment.. I'm rocking my kimono! I love that it has turned into a fashion trend. Wear it on the beach, as a robe, over a tee... There are no rules. This particular flapper-style kimono I picked up from Simply Chic is a great alternative to a cardigan or lightweight jacket perfect for spring. Layer with a over-sized top for daytime wear or a crop-top & heels for a night out with the girls...so fierce.

PS- April Fools! You're stuck with me.. I AM NOT moving.
