Remember when we were young and got sent up to our rooms as punishment? If that was still true, I'd be stirring up trouble all day because my bedroom is my favorite place on earth. This post has been so long overdue. I'm sitting here watching the Bachelorette trying to finish this before I head to New Orleans tomorrow.

Let's start with the most important thing in my bedroom. My bed. Durh. I had been searching high and low for the perfect bed while I was redecorating our master bedroom. I pulled the trigger on this diamond tufted bed. I highly recommend it!! It is sturdy and even more gorgeous in person. I ordered it in 'dove', which is like a tanish light gray. The set up wasn't too bad (well from what I know since Leif was the one who put it together for us). He put it together by himself in about an hour or so.

The velvet is so soft and luxurious which makes the whole room look more upscale. If you are buying a new mattress as well, I would definitely recommend going with a memory foam mattress. I was gifted a Tuft & Needle mattress, and I absolutely love it. It is a 10" memory mattress and we used a 6" box spring. I was gifted a few other memory foam mattress but didn't like it but I am honestly really happy with this one and so is my bf. For reference, I am a side and back sleeper, and he is a tummy and back sleeper. I seriously feel like I'm sleeping in a hotel!

Blush has such a subtle pink hue that it can almost be considered a neutral. These blush accent chairs paired with white looks delicate and adds a pop of color and a whole lot of chicness (no Barbie vibes here!). It also has a calming effect so it’s great for stress relief - perfect for decorating a bedroom meant for relaxing! This is my favorite little spot to sip on coffee, screenshot, and shop! Can't go wrong with marble, blush, gold, white, gray combo.

I love a good console table. Generally, I like to decorate with an asymmetrical approach for a more modern feel. I like to play around with different height using silk plants/leaves and add different shapes, like the round mirror, to find the right proportions. I'm always rearranging this table to keep things fresh!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love cactus. So when I saw this piece I knew I had to have it. I ordered it online and it was bigger and better than expected. I also have pieces I have coveted from traveling.

I love this mid-century nightstand with ample drawer space to hide all the clutter and keep some of my nightly beauty routine within an arms reach (like coconut oil and rose water). I also love anything marble so when I saw this lamp I knew I had to have it! I travel often and don't have much of a green thumb, so I opted for a faux fiddle leaf fig tree!

My Master Bedroom - Part 1

I am headed to New Orleans on Thursday with six of my girlfriends to celebrate my dirty 30! First things that comes to mind is 'What To Wear On Vacation?!" As someone who often procrastinates, I am proud of myself this time around because I started early. I have been slowing coveting pieces for vacation since mid-April.

I wanted to bring a chic outfit for a going out to a nice dinner but nothing that clings to the body since the weather is hot and humid. When I think of New Orleans, I think of colors. That’s why these super light weight pants is my best bet! The legs are super wide and flowy and the top tapers to a very form fitted finish but doesn't cling to the body. Plus, I am going to New Orleans for the food so I definitely wanted little extra space in my pants (#fatgirlproblems). Haha! I paired this off-the-shoulder ruffle crop top with it. Both runs true to size.

After traveling and living in many tropical countries, I can say that anything loose and flowy is the for the heat and humidity. The extreme humidity prevents swear from evaporating, so anything constricting will be like wrapped in cellophane.

The pants are long so you definitely want to wear some of platform shoes with it. I paired it with these comfortable platforms (runs small; order next size up). If you're not into those pants but love the print, good news that it comes in a dress, romper, and cover up!

I'm a chronic over-packer, yet I still feel as though I've forgotten something when I'm on vacation. I am defintely putting together a list this time so stay tune for my full packing guide!

Vacation Style: The Best Party Pants

With the weather (slowly but surely) rising, I can't wait to start strolling through the Farmer’s Market, walk along the waterfront parks, and hit all the outdoor happy hour spots with friends. There are countless activities in the sun that requires a lot of of walking. With that in mind, I have been shopping for a good pair of everyday sneaker that is lightweight, supportive, yet chic. Sorry but you wont be catching me in a pair of ugly sneaks to ruin a perfectly cute outfit.

I do ALL my shopping online. Online shopping is the best invention of this era! Some may disagree but that is probably because they don't know how to online shop like a champ. I pride myself in being a REALLY good online shopper. I'm like the Michael Phelps of online shopping.

All kidding aside, Zappos is one of my go-to online retailer. Besides allowing me the convenience of shopping in my sweatpants (or no pants at all), watch HGTV, and scarf down some delicious ice cream, I can also find more styles of shoes than any bricks-and-mortar store could hold.

The number one reason I shop there is because of their world class customer service. I mean how can you beat a 365-day returns policy and FREE and FAST two-way shipping?! There is a reason all their reviews are amazing! I have never been disappointed and I buy a lot of items from there.

I found the perfect blend of sneaker comfort with street style with the Mayliss Oxford for all my spring/summer activities at Zappos! I love the sophistication of an oxford style and the casual, everyday comfortable essence of a sneaker. The footbed has a nice OrthaLite cushioning so I can walk in them for hours. I like to walk from Pike Place down to the Waterfront Park, then back up to Frolik for happy hour. It works well with shorts, skirts, jeans, and even dresses! I love the small platform to elevate the legs.

Why I love Shopping at Zappos + Timberland Spring Line

Happy Mother's Day!! Hope everyone got to celebrate their Mommies. If you're a mother yourself then I hope you got celebrated because you deserve it!

Today, I’m partnering with New York & Company to share the outfits I wore on Mother's Day weekend. NY&Co is one of my favorite brands for finding stylish yet affordable pieces! Right now, everything, I mean EVERYTHING is currently 50% off!

I got the first outfit for under $90! The wrap maxi skirt I am wearing is currently under $35 (true to size). I wore it out to go wine tasting with my bf & his mom and I got so many compliments! The material is light, perfect for warm weather and I love the sexy little slit to show off these mules which I got for only $25! I am usually a size 8.5 and I ordered a 9 and it fit perfectly.

I paired it the this off-the-shoulder flounce-sleeve blouse ($25, true to size). I love how light and flouncy it is but the white is a bit sheer so I definitely would recommend wearing a lace bandeau of some sort.

My first look is perfect for a wedding, graduation party, church, or bridal shower!

Later that night, I changed into something a little more casual just by switching out the skirt with a pair of denim. The boyfriend jeans I am wearing is under $35 (runs large, size down!). I decided to switch out my shoes to these pumps. The scallop edge and ankle straps makes these shoes so flattering. I am tall (5'8") and usually can't wear heels but these aren't too tall and I actually wore it for more than 4 hours without my feet aching and it's only $25 (win, win!)

Mother's Day Outfits with New York & Company

Guys!! I am turning 30 in a week. Eeeeeeeeek! So this past year I have really been looking into using anti-aging beauty products that work (that is key, because there a TON of products out there but most don't actually work!)

I have heard so many great things about Tatcha and I actually received a bottle of the Rice Enzyme Powder from The Zoe Report Box a couple months ago and have been using it religiously. It has left my skin radiantly smooth and never irritated. A little powder goes a long way and turns into a foamy creamy paste when mixed with water. When you rinse it, your face feels like pearl. I use it every morning and I have acne/dry skin and it has helped with relieving the dryness.

So when I got a chance to try a different product from Tatcha I was very excited since I loved the first product I tried from them! I live in the desert and I am constantly using acne medications so my face tends to be in the dryer side. The Silk Cream is like heaven in a pretty little bottle! If there was one word to describe this product it would by silky (probably why it's in the title of the product). Most moisturizers are a little too greasy for me but unfortunately my skin needs those creamy type moisturizers. The texture of this moisturizer is very luxurious and unlike anything I've ever tried (and I've tried A LOT of skincare products). It moisturizes my skin without it looking like I just oiled my face up & leaves my skin silky smooth. Because it is not oily, I use it as a primer under my makeup.

With my new found soft and clear skin, I wanted to show it off with statement jewelry. I received this gorgeous Beacon Stud from Lulu Frost which makes any simple outfit pop! Lulu Frost is known for its statement blend of antique and modern elements. I adore that the founder, Lisa, inherited the name from her maternal grandmother Elizabeth Rock Frost.
